"But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold." (Job 23:10)
Honestly, I don't know why the Lord put it on my heart to use this particular verse, as Isaiah 55:10-11 was what I had in mind, but He knows our hearts and has a reason for all that He calls us to do - it will effect us all exactly how He wants it to I am sure. Perhaps we can see our individual ministries as a way that the Lord is trying us. We can remember that through the great sacrifice of Christ, as we follow Him, we are actively being changed and in the end will "come out as gold." Let's pray that while we ourselves are being refined, we may encourage, lift up, and bless others in the process!
